Mr. McLaughlin is returning to the Expert Witness business after a 5-year hiatus to pursue several management roles which have enhanced his value as an Expert Witness. During that period, Mr. McLaughlin was significantly engaged in the gold mining business, acting as the managing partner of a venture which acquired 2 prior operating gold mines. In this endeavor McLaughlin applied his skills as a Chapter 11 Trustee to acquire defaulted debt on 2 gold mines which allowed the acquisition of the mines at a highly discounted price to create some $300 Million in new value.

From this gold mining experience Mr. McLaughlin has also acted as an advisor to other gold mining interests and has become a qualified expert in gold mine valuations, permitting, environmental permits and issues, and in the capital raising aspects of gold mining operations.

Through these activities McLaughlin has also become an expert in Litigation Finance activities where capital is raised to finance the pursuit of litigation by Plaintiffs. This new industry is now a $5 Billion + industry in North America, Europe, and Australia.

Mr. McLaughlin was previously licensed with Series 79 and Series 63 Securities licenses.

Mr. McLaughlin has extensive experience in federal bankruptcy regulations and operations, largely based on his experience as the Chapter 11 Court Appointed Trustee for the Sambo’s Restaurants matter. McLaughlin implemented one of the fastest Chapter 11 Plans when he organized a merger of Sambo’s with another restaurant company, Vicorp Restaurants, in less than 18 Months.
