Introduction

Traci Moran is a Forensic Document Examiner (FDE) with 30 years of government agency experience. As an expert with Robson Forensic, Traci provides examinations, reports, and testimony toward the resolution of matters involving disputed documents of varied types such as checks, wills, deeds, contracts, account ledgers, medical records, and anonymous writings.

Traci began as a FDE trainee with the United States Secret Service and would eventually be promoted to lead that same training program where she started off, in addition to her duties examining high profile documents for hundreds of cases. After more than ten years with the Secret Service, Traci went on to hold positions in the Department of State and the Department of Treasury.

In her 30 years with the federal government, Traci analyzed thousands of documents that have required a variety of examinations to include handwriting, hand printing, signatures, and numerals; shredded documents; indented, altered, erased, or obliterated writings; typewriting, rubber stamps, notary seals, check writers, printing processes and other mechanical impressions. She has specialized expertise in document security features and their design and manufacturing.

Traci earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, and her Master of Forensic Science (M.F.S.) from George Washington University. Traci is certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners (ABFDE) and currently serves as a Director of that organization. She is certified as a Questioned Document Examiner by the United States Secret Service.
