Over 15 years of bedside nursing experience in acute care hospitals with 10+ years in pediatrics. Pediatric nursing experience includes care of medically complex children, pre and post operative patients, complex wound care, and clinically supervising nursing students.

Adult medical/surgical nursing experience includes stroke, telemetry, complex wound care, end of life care, and medical detoxification, both as a staff nurse and as a charge nurse.

Psychiatric nursing care including inpatient acute voluntary and involuntary psychiatric patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, aggression/violent behavior, psychosis, suicidality, suicide attempts, self-harm, electroconvulsive therapy.

Extensive teaching experience includes patients, families, registered nurses, undergraduate nursing students and graduate advanced nurse practitioner students across a broad range of topics.

Additional experience with infection prevention through MPH course work focused on prevention of hospital acquired infections including central line associated bloodstream infections and catheter associate urinary tract infections.
