
Dr. Siamak Nabili, M.D., MPH

Dr. Siamak Nabili is a seasoned internist and palliative care physician with over two decades of experience across inpatient, hospice, and outpatient settings. From 2005 to 2024, he served as an attending hospitalist at Optum Care Orange County, providing comprehensive care in high-acuity environments including Mission Regional and Saddleback Memorial hospitals.
Dr. Nabili holds a Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University and a Master of Public Health from UCLA. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Highland Hospital in Oakland, affiliated with UCSF. He is double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine, with a strong focus on patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and healthcare quality.
He currently serves as Medical Director for Hospice of Laughlin and continues to shape end-of-life care through oversight of interdisciplinary teams, eligibility assessments, and clinical leadership. In addition, he provides outpatient internal medicine services at Celebrating Life Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center, where he is involved in quality improvement, mentorship, and strategic program expansion.
Dr. Nabili has also played a key leadership role in launching and growing palliative care programs with AppleCare and Hospice Compassus, including supervising nurse practitioners, consulting on strategic partnerships, and ensuring best practices in chronic care management.
He has served as a medical consultant and expert reviewer for the Medical Board of California and has participated in multiple peer review committees. As Chief Editor of Palliative Care for Medscape, Dr. Nabili continues to influence medical education and evidence-based practice through digital publication.
Outside of clinical work, he enjoys travel, RV life, and community involvement. He is the founder of Siamak Nabili MD, Inc., and a longtime board member of the American Safe Sight Foundation.
