Mr. Maxwell is a real estate, land use, and development expert and consultant with 50 years of experience in commercial, residential, industrial, and hospitality development, finance, brokerage, land use, redevelopment, historic preservation, and real estate education. His work provides clients with accurate, in-depth analysis and assessment of properties, projects, transactions, financing, industry principles, and practices, enabling strategic, well-informed, fact-based decisions.
Mr. Maxwell has worked with attorneys on a diverse range of real estate litigation since 1986, from disputes to bankruptcy, failed projects to fraud, zoning and land use to valuation and market analysis. Maxwell has 40 years of experience working with attorneys, as well as nearly $1 billion in commercial, industrial, hospitality, and residential projects and financing in the US, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
Mr. Maxwell has served the real estate profession as a professor of real estate, teaching and leading a graduate business degree in real estate development for over 10 years. He was an active licensed real estate broker for 35 years. He specializes in multiple areas, including due diligence, project development, management, work-outs, bankruptcy, disputes, valuation, and analysis.
