Introduction

I am a board-certified critical care pharmacist (BCCCP) with nearly 15 years of full-time, hands-on experience in emergency medicine and critical care pharmacy. I currently practice as a full-time Emergency Medicine Pharmacist in a high-volume emergency department in North Carolina, remaining at the bedside providing direct care to critically ill and injured patients every day.

My advanced training includes a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency followed by a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy residency. In this high-acuity environment, I routinely conduct forensic medication chart reviews, evaluate adverse drug events, and assess medication errors in complex emergency and critical care cases. I have led or significantly contributed to more than 40 protocol, guideline, policy, and process improvement projects, and I actively participate in pharmacy regulatory compliance and accreditation reviews through both hospital and consulting roles.
In addition to my active clinical practice, I train pharmacy students and resident learners in real-time bedside care, which keeps me at the forefront of current standards of care and best practices in emergency medicine pharmacy. I am available to provide clear, objective expert opinions and testimony on pharmacy standards of care, medication safety, medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and regulatory compliance issues in emergency and critical care settings.
