Introduction

I am a retired captain from the Waterbury Police Department in Waterbury, Connecticut. During my time, I instructed numerous courses, including Implicit Bias, Human Behavior (psychology), Civil Complaints, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, and Use of Force. I served as the Commander of the Professional Standards Division and Midnight Shift Commander. The Professional Standards Division encompassed Training and Internal Affairs. I served as a Booking (detention) Officer, Commander, Field Training Officer (FTO), Communications Supervisor, Midnight Shift Commander, Patrol Officer, Supervisor, and Trainer.
