Dr. Jessica L. Underwood is a licensed chiropractor with extensive clinical, educational, and leadership experience. She has operated her own private practice, MVMT WORX, in North Hollywood since 2008, providing comprehensive chiropractic care, supervising interns and associates, and managing multidisciplinary clinic operations.

Dr. Underwood has also held numerous leadership roles at the Southern California Health Institute (SCHI) since 2009, including Administrative Dean, Chief of Institutional Branding and Program Development, Chief Academic Officer, and Director of Education. In these roles, she oversaw the development and accreditation of educational programs, managed faculty and student operations, and led initiatives in program curriculum, marketing, and campus engagement. She has maintained active clinical involvement through SCHI’s massage and chiropractic clinics and private practice, integrating movement studies, sports performance, manual therapy, and corrective exercise.

Prior to her tenure at SCHI, Dr. Underwood gained diverse experience in chiropractic care and clinic management, including positions at Coastal Neurological Institute, The Herb Shop by the Square, World Class Chiropractic, and Kennesaw Chiropractic Center, as well as early career work in marketing management at Heart to Heart. She has trained extensively in Medical Massage Protocols, VOILA Structural Balancing, Micro-Current Point Stimulation, Activator Methods, and concussion management.

Dr. Underwood earned her Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Anatomy and Physiology from Old Dominion University. She is a member of the Integrative Healers Action Network, CAALA, CAAA, and the Council of Women and Chiropractic, and continues to contribute to sports and community health initiatives, including serving as a team chiropractor for USA Weightlifting athletes.
