Jeff Sanchez, PE, PTOE
Jeff Sanchez is a Professional Engineer and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer with over 20 years and 37,000+ hours of experience in roadway design, traffic engineering, and highway construction and maintenance. Jeff provides objective forensic analyses of highway design and traffic control issues related to motor vehicle crashes in construction zones.
Drawing on extensive experience as a traffic engineer and design manager for the New Mexico Department of Transportation and as a project manager for heavy civil highway and utility contractors, Jeff offers unique and in-depth insight into the respective responsibilities of contractors and government agencies related to construction methods, traffic control, and oversight. His analyses are grounded in industry standards, contract documents and plans, and federal and state design regulations.
Jeff’s professional background includes five years as a project manager for bridge, roadway, and utility contractors; seven years as a traffic engineer, design manager, and maintenance engineer with the New Mexico Department of Transportation; three years as a design engineer for the U.S. Coast Guard; and six years providing forensic investigation services.
He has authored more than 400 technical reports and has provided expert testimony in depositions and at trial across a wide range of transportation-related cases in both federal and state courts.
