Introduction

Dr. Jeanine Johnson is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in evidence-based psychotherapy, specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma in high-functioning adult women. She currently maintains a thriving private practice in Los Angeles County, California, where she provides virtual individual therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients enhance emotional resilience, manage stress, and achieve sustainable mental wellness.

Before relocating to California, Dr. Johnson practiced in New York City, where she provided individual therapy at a Manhattan-based private practice specializing in short-term, results-oriented treatment for professionals navigating anxiety, mood disorders, and adjustment challenges. Her prior clinical work includes serving as a licensed psychologist at Queens Hospital Center, where she provided psychotherapy and diagnostic evaluations for culturally diverse adult patients. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Zucker Hillside Hospital at Northwell Health, focusing on first-episode psychosis, early intervention, and family psycho-education.

Dr. Johnson’s extensive clinical background spans multiple levels of care—including outpatient, hospital, and academic medical settings—where she has conducted psychological testing, case conceptualization, and supervision of externs. Earlier in her career, she worked as a clinical therapist at Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems, a counselor at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center’s addiction program, and a research assistant at the Treatment Research Institute, contributing to substance abuse and recovery studies.

Dr. Johnson earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her Master of Science in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University. She is licensed to practice psychology in California and has previously held licensure in New York.
