Jackson M. Jenkins, PE, is a professional mechanical engineer and founder & principal engineer of Nexus Professional Engineering, LLC, providing independent engineering analysis, failure investigation, and litigation support involving machinery, manufactured products, mechanical components, and industrial equipment. With more than 20 years of engineering and manufacturing experience, Mr. Jenkins brings a practical perspective spanning product development, design and validation, finite element analysis (FEA), manufacturing processes, quality, field performance, and root-cause investigation. His experience includes engineering and executive leadership responsibility across high-volume manufacturing, precision machining, automotive, oil and gas, specialty equipment, and regulated products.

His recent work includes independent finite element analysis of structural systems for specialty vehicle applications, including evaluation of design modifications, stress response, and comparative fatigue performance to support engineering and business decisions.

Mr. Jenkins also has significant experience with product safety and regulatory matters involving the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). His experience includes conducting engineering evaluations and developing product solutions, processes, and procedures that were reviewed and approved by CPSC technical staff. He has also worked extensively with legal counsel on CPSC-related matters, including the development of technical solutions and preparation of communications for submission to the Commission.
