Introduction

Dr. Hannah-Shmouni trained at the Yale School of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health and holds faculty appointment at the University of British Columbia. He is board certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology (ABIM, FRCPC), and his clinical and research career has centred on one field: hormone, peptide, metabolic and regenerative medicine — the same field his medicolegal work covers.

He has served as an expert witness across Canada, the United States, and internationally, in matters spanning medical malpractice, personal injury, and regulatory enforcement. He is retained by plaintiff and defence counsel in roughly equal measure — a balance he regards as the best evidence of an opinion that follows the record rather than the retainer.

Beyond the courtroom, he is the founder and CEO of Hormonaly.ai, the evidence engine that supports this practice; Director of the AI Academy at the Geneva College of Longevity Science; and Clinical Researcher and Medical Director at Eli Health. He is the author of clinical reference texts on peptide and hormone medicine and of peer-reviewed research published in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, and JAMA — indexed on the publications page.

His expert practice covers peptide therapy, hormone & testosterone therapy, anabolic steroids & SARMs, regenerative medicine & longevity, and standards of care.
