Dr. Erin Vogtman is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon with over 15 years of clinical experience, specializing in diabetic foot care, wound management, and limb salvage. She currently practices in Southern California as a general podiatrist with Pacific Coast Podiatry in San Clemente and with Anywhere Foot and Ankle Care, where she provides both in-office and mobile care to patients in assisted living facilities, hospice, and home-bound settings.
Dr. Vogtman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire in 2003. She went on to receive her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from Des Moines University in 2008. She completed a rigorous three-year podiatric surgical residency at Jerry Pettis Memorial VA Hospital in Loma Linda, California, with focused training in limb salvage, diabetic foot care, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. She served as chief resident from 2010 to 2011.
From 2014 to 2018, Dr. Vogtman was a surgical podiatrist at Kaiser Permanente in Baldwin Park, where she managed complex diabetic foot cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Working closely with vascular surgery, she was part of multidisciplinary rounds and regularly presented educational lectures on diabetic foot care to physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
Her earlier experience includes serving as an independent contractor for multiple podiatry groups across Southern California, including Inland Podiatry and Advanced Foot & Ankle Center, where she handled elective surgical cases, workers’ compensation patients, and wound care in both private offices and surgery centers.
Dr. Vogtman is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) and holds a current California medical license along with certifications in radiography, fluoroscopy, and DEA registration. She is proficient in Spanish, which enhances her ability to provide culturally competent care.
Known for her holistic and patient-centered approach, Dr. Vogtman emphasizes education, prevention, and long-term management in all aspects of podiatric care. She remains passionate about advancing limb salvage techniques and continues to contribute through both clinical work and professional education.
