Elizabeth M. Pieroth, PsyD, ABPP, MPH is an award winning, board-certified clinical neuropsychologist specializing and thought leader on concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI). She provides independent medical examinations, medical record review, deposition and trial preparation, and expert consultation in legal matters involving traumatic brain injury, cognitive functioning, and symptom validity.

Dr. Pieroth has more than 25 years of experience evaluating individuals with neurological injuries. Until her recent move to South Carolina, she served as Director of the Concussion Program at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, and currently maintains an independent practice in clinical neuropsychology.

Dr. Pieroth has extensive experience in concussion assessment and management and has served as a neuropsychological consultant to numerous professional sports organizations and national governing bodies. She is currently the Director of the NFL Neuropsychology Consultant Program and Director of the Concussion Programs for both the National Women's Soccer League and the Professional Women's Hockey Leauge. She is a member of the NFL Head, Neck and Spine Committee and US Soccer Advisory Board. For more than 20 years she served as the concussion consultant to professional sports teams, including the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, White Sox, Fire, Stars and others.

Dr. Pieroth has an independent forensic neuropsychology practice serving both plaintiff and defense attorneys. She provides clear, evidence-based and defensible opinions in cases involving alleged concussion, traumatic brain injury, and persistent symptoms. Her evaluations and record reviews address key questions of diagnosis and causation: Did a concussion occur? Are current symptoms attributable to that injury? What other medical, psychological, sleep, pain, medication, or situational factors may be contributing?

Dr. Pieroth is a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology and is a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois and South Carolina. She has the interjurisdictional license to practice telehealth (PsyPACT) in 42 states. She has a Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology and a Masters of Public Health.

Dr. Pieroth has authored numerous publications and book chapters on concussion and neuropsychological assessment. She frequently lectures nationally on concussion, neuropsychological evaluation, and the assessment of persistent post-concussion symptoms. She also filmed a Tedx talk on concussion treatment.
