Introduction

David Ortiz is a façade access and scaffold safety expert with more than 35 years of specialized experience in the design, evaluation, inspection, testing, installation, maintenance, and safe use of permanent and temporary façade access systems. He holds a specialized Cal/OSHA Scaffold Inspection and Testing license and serves as Vice Chair of the ASME A120 Safety Standards Committee, giving him direct involvement in the development and interpretation of industry safety standards for building maintenance equipment and façade access systems.

Mr. Ortiz’s expertise includes building maintenance units, suspended scaffolds, powered platforms, davit systems, tieback anchors, fall protection systems, roof access, exterior building maintenance equipment, and related safety compliance requirements.
