Dr. Firestone is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also is board certified in hand subspecialty by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He attended the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Iowa City, IA, 2002-2006. Dr. Firestone was a resident at Creighton University/University of Nebraska Health Foundation, Orthopaedic Surgery Residency, Omaha, NE, 2006-2011. He completed his fellowship at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center, Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship, Indianapolis, IN, 2011-2012. Dr. Firestone specializes in carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, hand injuries, cysts, arthritis, tendon injuries, hand fractures, and local/wide awake hand surgery. His special interest is hand and wrist surgery implant design.
