Introduction

Dr. Cate Vogl is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and relationship dynamics. She provides individual therapy for adolescents (16+) and adults, integrating evidence-based and experiential modalities such as EMDR, emotionally focused therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. Her approach is collaborative and strengths-oriented, emphasizing relational connection, self-compassion, and resilience.

Dr. Vogl currently leads her private practice, Vogl Psychological Services (2023–present), where she offers therapy and parent coaching for caregivers across all developmental stages. Her practice focuses on enhancing emotional regulation, fostering secure attachment, and helping clients develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

She also served as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at The Malone Collective – Intensive Outpatient Program (2024–2025), providing EMDR therapy and family therapy for adults recently discharged from residential treatment programs for substance use disorders. From 2022 to 2024, Dr. Vogl was part of NorthStar Families Therapy Group, where she provided individual, couple, and family therapy for clients across the lifespan. Her earlier work at Institutes of Health (2021–2022) focused on behavioral medicine and trauma, conducting evaluations and therapy for patients within the worker’s compensation system.

Dr. Vogl completed her Psy.D. in Applied Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (2017–2020), graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She also earned a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) (2015–2017, GPA 4.0) and a Bachelor’s degree from USC (2012–2014, GPA 3.9) after beginning her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College (2010–2011, GPA 3.8).

Her clinical training includes postdoctoral and predoctoral fellowships with Cancer Support Community Los Angeles, where she designed and led psycho-oncology programs for children and families impacted by cancer. She has additional training in Trauma-Focused CBT, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, Reflective Parenting, and EMDR.

Dr. Vogl has presented nationally on topics related to child and family psycho-oncology and has received multiple academic honors, including the Harold W. Cook Endowed Scholarship, Ruth Russell Shelby Endowed Scholarship, and induction into Phi Beta Kappa and Psi Chi Honors Societies.
