Introduction

I am trained and Board-Certified in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. My current position is Professor in Radiology at the Medical College of Georgia/Georgia Regents University. Augusta. I have 28 years of experience in clinical Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, and the teaching of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine to residents in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and to medical students and nuclear medicine technology students. In addition, I have had further training in Radiation Safety, health physics, and medical physics, and have a M.S. degree from UCLA in medical physics. I have been involved in Quality Assurance in Nuclear Medicine since 1989, and was on the QA committee for Nuclear Medicine of the American College of Nuclear Physicians or the Society of Nuclear Medicine for 21 years, and chaired the committee for 3 years. I have evaluated multiple practices of Nuclear Medicine around the country through this process, which involves evaluation of a questionnaire and a site visit. I have also been involved in proficiency testing in Nuclear Medicine for many years, and am a long-standing member of that committee. I have been a Program Director of the Radiology residency for 4 years, at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I have also been involved in the certification process of radiology residents. I have been an item writer for the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and also the American College of Radiology, and have been an oral board examiner for the ABR since 2003.

I have given a number of invited presentations at the Missouri Valley Chapter, SNM, Society of Nuclear Medicine annual and Midwinter meetings, and American College of Nuclear Medicine annual meetings. I gave review lectures at the annual Nuclear Medicine Review Course at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD for 12 years in a row.
