Wes Madsen
Wes Madsen, MD, is a board‑certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction, joint replacement, and comprehensive orthopedic care. He is recognized for expertise in hip and knee reconstruction, complex fracture management, and evidence‑based surgical treatment, with leadership experience in both clinic and hospital settings.
Dr. Madsen earned his medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine, completed residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident, and pursued fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at the University of Utah. He graduated Valedictorian from Brigham Young University with a degree in Microbiology.
His career spans long‑standing orthopedic practice, departmental leadership, and contributions to research, with publications and presentations on topics including fracture fixation, biceps tenodesis, femoroacetabular impingement, and revision arthroplasty. He has served as lecturer, journal club organizer, and residency curriculum leader.
