Dr. Lavian is an expert in telecommunications, network communications, mobile wireless, and Internet protocols. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in networking and communications. He consults in computer networks, data communications, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, UDP, VPN, VoIP, streaming media, chat, SMS, mobile wireless, Ethernet, routing, switching, the Internet, and web technologies.
Dr. Lavian has held academic positions at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has served as an industry fellow and lecturer in the Industrial Engineering and Operation Research (IEOR) Department and the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET). He served as a research and industrial liaison at UC Berkley Engineering. He has also been a part of U.C.
