Director of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Pediatric Transplant Anesthesia at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Lead expert in dozens of pediatric and adult anesthesiology cases, with extensive experience in merit review, expert witness report writing, and providing deposition testimony.

Focused on quality and safety, I am a member of multiple advisory groups within the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation, as well as Georgetown University Anesthesiology Quality Committee. My primary clinical niche within pediatric anesthesiology focuses around abdominal organ transplant (liver/small bowel). My clinical practice is 50% pediatric/50% adult, allowing me to care for all manner of peri-operative patient. As an associate professor of anesthesiology, I have given >50 research and educational presentations at local, regional and national conferences. My research focus is education technology and just-in-time teaching, as applied to graduate medical education. I have taken part in numerous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, and received teaching and research recognition awards locally and nationally.
