Steven Ihnen, P.E., is a civil engineer with nearly 40 years of experience in civil engineering, land development, and construction. His projects have ranged from large, multi-phase residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects to small plot retail, municipal, and more. As an expert at Robson Forensic, he applies his expertise to heavy/civil construction and site development disputes including design defects, construction defects, construction site safety, and engineering and construction contracting.

Steven was the sole principal owner of his own civil firm for 20 years and was partner with a larger firm for another 7 years, where he served as project manager and engineer of record for civil site design on hundreds of projects. These included drainage design, water and wastewater design, stormwater design, water quality and detention pond design, site permitting, public construction bidding, and construction-phase services. He has secured entitlements, permit approvals, developer agreements, construction contracts, and has participated in dispute resolution and analysis of design and construction defects.

Steven earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in multiple states and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the NSPE.
