I am a board certified cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon (separate fellowship training) with over four decades of clinical experience, writing to offer my expertise as an independent medical case reviewer for your firm.

I am Ivy League trained, having completed my cardiothoracic surgery training at Yale New Haven Medical Center. My background also includes service as ship surgeon aboard the USS Midway, Chief of Surgery on the USNS Comfort and Director of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Program at Finger Lakes Heart Institute in Elmira, NY. I have extensive experience in conducting quality assurance analyses as well as medical case reviews both within the United States Navy and in civilian practice. This depth of experience allows me to provide clear, objective, and well supported opinions on standard of care, surgical decision making, and causation in cardiothoracic, vascular surgery and even in critical care malpractice cases. As a cardiothoracic surgeon I continue to provide critical care expertise on my surgical patients in the intensive care unit. I am efficient with medical record review and comfortable communicating findings in writing or through deposition and trial testimony.
