Dr. Sophia Sawires is a highly skilled general dentist with expertise in restorative, surgical, and cosmetic dental procedures for both children and adults. She currently provides part-time dental services across several practices in California, including Innovative Smiles Dentistry in Cerritos, Long Beach Endodontics in Long Beach, and previously at St. Youstina Dental in Santa Ana. Dr. Sawires combines advanced clinical techniques with patient-focused care to deliver comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.

Dr. Sawires earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from UCLA School of Dentistry, graduating with the Class of 2021. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from UCLA (2015–2017) and an Associate Degree in Biology from Orange Coast College (2013–2015). Her early dental education began at the School of Dental Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt (2009–2012), providing a strong international foundation in dental medicine.

Throughout her career, Dr. Sawires has gained extensive clinical experience in multiple dental settings. She has served as a general dentist at Innovative Smiles Dentistry (April 2024–June 2025), St. Youstina Dental (October 2021–April 2024), PHD Dental (January 2022–January 2023), Mira Loma Smiles Dentistry (August 2021–March 2022), and All Care Dental (July 2021–February 2022). She has also worked as a consultation dentist at Long Beach Endodontics since June 2022, providing expert guidance in complex cases.

Dr. Sawires is proficient in restorative dentistry, surgical extractions, bone grafts and socket preservation, and the use of advanced technology including CEREC and CAD/CAM systems. She is certified in Invisalign and is an AAFE-certified injector of Botox and dermal fillers for pain management and TMJ treatment.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sawires contributed to research at UCLA School of Dentistry (2016–2017) under Dr. Kang Ting and advisor Dr. Xinli Zhang. Her work on chondrocyte inactivation and appendicular skeletogenesis was published in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research (2019).

Dr. Sawires is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Orange County Dental Society (OCDS). She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that enhances both oral health and patient confidence.
