Dr. Shahryar Ahmadi
Shahryar Ahmadi, MD, FRCSC is a board‑certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder, elbow, and trauma surgery, with more than two decades of clinical, academic, and research experience. His work spans complex upper‑extremity reconstruction, fracture management, arthroplasty, biomechanics, and surgical innovation, supported by extensive contributions to national committees, research initiatives, and orthopedic education.
Dr. Ahmadi completed his fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, following orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Toronto. He earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, graduating in the top three percent of his class. He served for a decade as Director of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and Associate Professor of Orthopedics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he also held leadership roles in trauma surgery, resident education, and cadaveric surgical training.
His academic and research portfolio includes NIH‑funded studies, industry‑supported investigations, patented orthopedic devices, and numerous peer‑reviewed publications in shoulder, elbow, trauma, biomechanics, and surgical simulation. He has served as a reviewer for multiple orthopedic journals and contributed to national guideline and evaluation committees for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His honors include Best Doctors in America, Top Doctors, and multiple teaching and faculty awards.
