Dr. Ravi Patel is an expert in biomedical engineering with specific focuses on medical devices and human biomechanics. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Science from the University of Colorado Denver, after completing his undergraduate work in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech. At Robson Forensic, he applies his expertise to forensic casework involving traumatic injuries including motor vehicle crashes, workplace and sports injuries, premises liability disputes, and claims involving medical implants and devices.

Dr. Patel has spent years in research and industry applying his expertise in the mechanics of human motion towards innovations in medical device technology, particularly focused on spinal biomechanics, spine fusion device designs, skeletal and implant loading profiles post ankle fusion, validation testing of novel biomaterials, and more.

As a senior research and development engineer in the biomechanical engineering group for a major orthodontic technology corporation, Dr. Patel drove the design and development of several product launches focusing on the biomechanics of mandibular motion and growth. Dr. Patel possesses a deep knowledge of the IRB and FDA submission and acceptance processes as well as the role and responsibility of medical device manufacturers.
