Dr. Peter H Lin

Dr. Lin is a board-certified vascular surgeon with more than 25 years of clinical experience in academic medicine and private practice. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of arterial and venous diseases, including peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, dialysis access disorders, chronic venous insufficiency, deep venous thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism. His clinical expertise encompasses both open vascular surgery and advanced endovascular interventions.
Dr. Lin earned his medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School, completed his General Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago, and completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Emory University. He served on the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine for more than 14 years, where he advanced to Professor of Surgery and Chief of Vascular Surgery. He currently holds the title of Professor Emeritus of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in recognition of his academic and clinical contributions.
An accomplished physician-scientist, Dr. Lin has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and invited review articles on vascular surgery and endovascular therapy. His research has contributed to advances in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, dialysis access, and venous thromboembolic disorders.
Dr. Lin currently practices at Vascular Care Specialists of Los Angeles, where he provides comprehensive vascular care using both surgical and minimally invasive techniques. His active clinical practice enables him to remain current with evolving standards of care, treatment guidelines, and emerging technologies.
As a medicolegal expert, Dr. Lin provides independent, objective, and evidence-based opinions in cases involving vascular surgery and vascular medicine. His services include medical record review, standard-of-care analysis, causation assessment, expert reports, deposition testimony, and trial testimony. His combination of extensive clinical experience, academic leadership, scholarly achievement, and ongoing patient care provides a strong foundation for evaluating complex vascular and medicolegal issues.
