Dr. Nima Nouri is a licensed psychologist (PSY27239) with extensive training and experience in forensic and clinical psychology, specializing in psychotherapy, forensic evaluation, and psychological services for diverse populations across clinical, forensic, and community-based settings.
Dr. Nouri earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University of Orange County in 2008. He further obtained certification in Elderly Alzheimer’s and Dementia/Psychological Gerontology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2010, before completing his Doctorate in Forensic/Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University in 2013.
His clinical career spans a wide range of settings, from inpatient psychiatric hospitals and substance abuse rehabilitation centers to forensic programs and private practice. Dr. Nouri completed early practicum work at South Coast Medical Center, Harbor View House, Sylmar Health and Rehabilitation Center, and Tarzana Treatment Center, gaining experience in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused, and integrated therapeutic modalities. He went on to complete his pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Institute for Multicultural Counseling and Education Services (IMCES), where he served as Program Director for Full Service Partnership and Field Capable Clinical Services, while supervising pre- and post-doctoral interns and providing forensic and clinical services to underserved populations.
From 2015 to 2018, Dr. Nouri held leadership roles at IMCES, directing clinical and forensic programs for misdemeanor incompetent-to-stand-trial, assisted outpatient treatment, and wraparound family preservation programs, while also serving as 24-hour emergency on-call supervisor. He later expanded his practice through positions at Happier Living and WellQor Psychological Network, with a focus on psychotherapy, cognitive evaluation, and elder care. Since 2018, he has been in private practice at Exeer Holistic Health, providing psychotherapy, consultation, forensic evaluation, and linkage services.
Dr. Nouri has presented nationally, including at the American Psychological Association’s 2016 Annual Convention, and holds certifications in crisis intervention, psychological first aid, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and geriatric psychology. Bilingual in English and Farsi/Persian, he integrates his multicultural background and broad clinical expertise to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals and families.
