Dr. Mohinderpal S. Thaper, M.D. is a board-certified internist and Medical Director specializing in geriatric care, complex wound management, and telehealth-based weight loss treatment. He currently leads North County Geriatrics, providing expert care to older adults across multiple skilled nursing facilities in San Diego County, and also operates a mobile wound care service and online wellness clinic, Younique Medical​.

Dr. Thaper earned his medical degree from Manipal College of Medical Sciences and completed his internal medicine residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He holds board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine and is licensed to practice in the state of California​.

With over two decades of experience, Dr. Thaper has served in numerous hospitalist roles across Arizona and California, including long-standing affiliations with Arch Health Partners, where he has served as Medical Director for Post-Acute Care since 2013​. He is affiliated with Palomar Poway Medical Center and Palomar Escondido Medical Center, and routinely manages care across several skilled nursing facilities including The Villas at Poway, Poway Healthcare Center, and Casa de las Campanas​.

Dr. Thaper is known for his patient-centered approach to geriatric medicine, with a special interest in wound healing and preventative health through telemedicine. Fluent in Hindi and Punjabi, he brings cultural competence and compassion to his care. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, cinema, and following baseball, basketball, and football. He resides in Southern California with his wife and two children.
