Introduction

Board-certified physician in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine with experience serving as a retained expert witness in medical-legal matters. Maintains an active clinical practice in both critical care and pulmonary medicine.

Experience includes management of critically ill patients in a closed ICU setting, serving as the primary physician responsible for medical, surgical, cardiovascular, and neurologic conditions, including high-stakes decision-making regarding escalation of care and clinical deterioration.

Areas of expertise include:
• Failure to recognize clinical deterioration
• Failure to escalate care or failure to rescue
• Misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis of critical conditions
• Acute respiratory failure and ARDS
• Mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
• Shock
• Pulmonary embolism and acute cardiopulmonary conditions
• Airway emergencies and ICU procedures
• ICU complications (including procedural complications and hospital-acquired infections)
• ECMO candidacy and timing (VV and VA)

Pulmonary expertise includes COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary infections, and lung nodules. Routinely performs independent review of thoracic imaging (chest radiographs and CT scans), including identification of subtle or missed findings.
