Introduction

Michael LaMana is the founder of LaMana Consulting Foresters – a professional consulting firm providing expertise in most facets of landscape management, arboriculture, urban and municipal forestry, and traditional woodlands management. Michael holds a B. S. Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University, and a M.S. in Entomology from Oregon State University. With more than 30 years of relevant experience in arboriculture, landscape management and urban forestry, Mr. LaMana is a recognized leader in his fields of practice.

Mr. LaMana has served as a Director of the American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA), and Chair of the NJ Division of the Society of American Foresters (SAF). He is a NJ and MD Licensed Tree Expert (LTE); a Board-Certified Master Arborist (BCMA) – with a Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) – with the International Society of Arborists (ISA). Mike also is a Registered Consulting Arborist (RCA) with ASCA, a Certified Forester with the SAF, and an Approved Consultant Forester credentialed by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) to handle matters related to New Jersey Farmland Tax Assessment.
