Matthew T. Bamber, PharmD, MBA, BCCCP, CPP, is a board-certified critical care pharmacist with 15 years of clinical pharmacy experience and extensive practice in emergency medicine and critical care. He currently serves as an Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Supervisor while remaining actively involved in direct bedside care of critically ill and injured patients.
His postgraduate training includes a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency and a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy residency. He also serves as Residency Program Director for a PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency and regularly trains pharmacy residents and students in high-acuity clinical practice.
His areas of expertise include pharmacist and pharmacy standards of care, medication errors, medication safety, adverse drug events, drug interactions, dosing and monitoring, emergency and critical care pharmacotherapy, toxicology and overdose, anticoagulation and reversal, sepsis, resuscitation pharmacotherapy, hemodynamic support, sedation and analgesia, antimicrobial therapy, and hospital medication-use systems.
Over his career, Dr. Bamber has led or contributed to more than 40 medication-related protocols, guidelines, policies, order sets, and process-improvement initiatives. His professional responsibilities also include medication safety, regulatory and accreditation review, clinical education, and evaluation of complex medication-use issues.
His expert-witness experience includes retained case review, detailed analysis of medical records and medication timelines, evidence and literature review, evaluation of medication-related standards of care and pharmacotherapy decisions, development of independent expert opinions, and deposition testimony.

- A: Initial engagement retainer: $2,500, of which $1,000 is nonrefundable; the remaining balance is applied against professional fees and any unused portion is refundable at the conclusion of the engagement. Deposition testimony: $450/hour with a three-hour minimum. Trial testimony: $550/hour with a four-hour minimum. Travel time: $175/hour plus reasonable actual travel expenses. Cancellations or postponements of scheduled testimony with less than 48 hours' notice are subject to the applicable minimum testimony fee and any nonrefundable expenses incurred.
