Introduction

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with 25 years of experience specializing in psychopharmacology, CNS drug development, and forensic psychiatric consultation. I am an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, trained at Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich and the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh — two of the most rigorous academic psychiatry programs in the world.
What distinguishes my background from other psychiatric experts is a dual vantage point that is essentially unique in the expert witness market: I have served as Principal Investigator on 15+ industry-sponsored Phase II–III clinical trials across schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, cognitive impairment, tardive dyskinesia, and Alzheimer's disease — with sponsors including Pfizer, Novartis, J&J, AstraZeneca, Biogen, Neurocrine, Acadia, and Lundbeck — while simultaneously working as a clinical quality control consultant for a major contract research organization. This means I can evaluate whether a trial was conducted properly, whether data is reliable, and whether GCP standards were followed, from both sides of the table. That combination does not exist elsewhere in this directory.
My psychopharmacology expertise is reflected in authorship of reference chapters in Sadock & Sadock's Comprehensive Textbook of Psychiatry and the Schatzberg/Nemeroff APAP Textbook of Psychiatric Psychopharmacology — the primary reference texts in the field, which opposing experts routinely cite. I have 59 peer-reviewed publications and am a Fellow of the International Society for CNS Clinical Trials and Methodology. With over 27,000 clinical patient encounters, I bring real-world prescribing perspective that bridges the gap between controlled trial populations and actual clinical practice.
I am available nationally, multi-state licensed under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, and retained exclusively on the defense side. Services include case merit review, expert report preparation, deposition preparation, and trial testimony.
