Mr. Marcello R. Kettrles CPP, PSP, CPD, CCE
New York, NY 10005
Office: 646-725-3841
I am the Founder and Principal of Preventive Security Assessment Services, LLC in New York City. I founded the Preventive Security firm following a distinguished career in law enforcement and security operations spanning more than 35 years. I operate as an independent Physical Security Consultant providing Litigation Support.
Since retiring from the New York City Department of Correction (NYCDOC) with Peace Officer status in 2011, I've continued working in the field of security, while maintaining Correction relevance. I bring a rare and specialized perspective to litigation support involving Adult Corrections and Negligent Security. As a retired NYCDOC officer, I have transitioned into a career as an Expert Witness–an uncommon path in this field. "One of the Few and Perhaps the Sole–former Rikers Island Correction Officer providing Litigation Support across the United States."
I am dual Board-Certified as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP®) and Physical Security Professional (PSP®) through the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International). Globally recognized as the standard of excellence for security management professionals, the CPP demonstrates one's knowledge and competency in seven (7) key domains of security. The (PSP) credential provides demonstrable proof of knowledge and experience in Threat Assessment and Risk Analysis. The Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPD) certification suggests that I am familiar with (CPTED) principles. The American Correctional Association Certified Correctional Executive (CCE) certification signifies I can develop and implement policies and procedures for Adult Corrections on the Federal, State, and Local levels. "I currently provide contracted correctional support services for the U.S Marshals Service and the Federal Bureau of Prisons in New York and New Jersey."
Marcello R. Kettrles CPP, PSP, CPD, CCE is professional educated by SEAK, Inc. in "How to Start, Build and Run a Successful Expert Witness Practice", "How to Be an Effective Expert Witness at Deposition and Trial" and "How to Write a Bulletproof Expert Witness Report."
