Dr. Brown specializes in psychologial assessment of adults involved in criminal and civil legal matters. She has experience with the full range of mental disorder diagnoses, including severe and persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, and personality disorders in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, forensic, and correctional. She has a strong background in research which is evidenced in her reliance on peer reviewed scientific literature, standardized assessments, methods with proven reliability and validity, and bias mitigation strategies. Dr. Brown has been qualified as an expert in clinical and forensic psychology in courts across her home state of Louisiana and has been retained as an expert in criminal and civil cases in both state and federal courts. She operates a private practice based in Louisiana and is also licensed in Ohio, Nevada, Texas, and Iowa.
