I am a board-certified pulmonary and critical care physician with approximately 40 years of experience in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and mechanical ventilation management. I am licensed to practice medicine in the states of California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
I completed fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City following residency training in Internal Medicine in Manhattan. I formerly served as Managing Partner of Associated Pulmonologists of Western Connecticut and held attending physician appointments in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Danbury Hospital and within the Nuvance Health System. I also previously served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
My clinical experience includes the management of complex pulmonary and critical care conditions including respiratory failure, mechanical ventilation, ventilator weaning, ICU management, aspiration events, pulmonary embolism, COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, sepsis, postoperative pulmonary complications, occupational lung disease, and environmental pulmonary exposures.
I continue to remain actively involved in pulmonary and critical care medicine through ongoing pulmonary and critical care consultation services, medical-legal case review, and continued professional education.
I am board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine by the National Board of Physicians & Surgeons. I am a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
I have extensive experience serving as both a plaintiff and defense pulmonary and critical care expert witness in medical malpractice and complex pulmonary litigation matters nationwide. I have been retained in more than 200 medical-legal matters and have substantial experience providing expert medical review, deposition testimony, and trial testimony involving:
