Introduction

Dr. Kimberly Knopf is a highly experienced general and cosmetic dentist with more than two decades of expertise in comprehensive and reconstructive dental care. She currently serves as Lead Dentist at Tooth Shop Dentistry in Los Angeles, California, a position she has held since 2018. Prior to this, she practiced with Dr. Michael Zola in Westwood, where she focused on comprehensive dentistry from 2015 to 2020. Between 2012 and 2015, she co-owned and practiced at Ravon Knopf, DDS, Inc. in Beverly Hills, specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. Earlier in her career, she was an associate dentist with Dr. Cary M. Schwartz, also in Beverly Hills, from 2002 to 2012.

Dr. Knopf earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 2002. During her training, she was a consistent Dean’s Honor List recipient and received numerous distinctions, including the Everitt V. Payne Memorial Award in Dental Morphology and Occlusion, the U.S.C. Alumni Association Endowment Award and Scholarship, and the Golden Hand Award in Dental Morphology and Occlusion. She previously earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from USC in 1997, graduating on the Dean’s Honor List and receiving the Department of Dental Hygiene Research Award for her work on the oral manifestation of AIDS.

Her postdoctoral education includes Invisalign Training and Certification in 2003, advanced esthetics training at the Las Vegas Institute, and completion of the Kois Center Curriculum in Treatment Planning, Diagnosis, and Occlusion between 2008 and 2009. Dr. Knopf has also served as a clinical instructor at the USC School of Dentistry, teaching Operative and Restorative Dentistry from 2001 to 2004 and Periodontology from 1997 to 2001.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Knopf has been featured in media and patient education campaigns. She was the lead dentist on the Lifetime reality docuseries Smile! in 2015, which showcased dramatic full-mouth reconstruction makeovers. She also appeared as a spokesperson for Hello! Vegan and Organic Toothpaste on Entertainment Tonight in 2014, and for Colgate’s “Colgate Smile Minute,” a series of eleven educational commercials released in 2013.
