Dr. Joseph Muniak is a board-certified Occupational Therapist (OTR) and expert in the safety and care provided to patients in hospitals, rehab centers, skilled nursing facilities (nursing homes), and home care settings. 

As an expert at Robson Forensic, Dr. Muniak applies his expertise to forensic casework involving patient falls, patient transport injuries, and other negative health outcomes associated with the care or supervision provided within the health care system. He also maintains an active clinical practice as a home care clinical administrator, occupational therapist, and adjunct professor.

In 2008, Dr. Muniak opened the Acute Rehab, Brain Injury Recovery Center at Penn Medicine Rittenhouse, ultimately serving as the Director of Inpatient Therapy. As a hospital administrator, Dr. Muniak worked closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop facility policies and procedures and staff training protocols, which included the proper use, inspection, and maintenance of durable medical equipment (DME).

Dr. Muniak earned his Doctorate of Occupational Therapy as well as his B.S. and M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. He also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Villanova University. Dr. Muniak is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, and he is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist.
