Introduction

Dr. Jennifer Johnson, Ed.D. is a veteran educator and licensed school principal with over 18 years of experience in the field of PreK-12 education. She specializes in expert witness testimony related to school quality, school choice, special education, and best interest of the child. A large part of her work involves producing school analysis and comparison reports for domestic relations cases where schools are in dispute between parents or caregivers.

Jennifer's work focuses on the academic, social-emotional, behavioral, physical, and cognitive development of each child. The child's needs are then situated within any identified schools and factors that influence school quality. Jennifer's reports have been heralded as accessible, easy-to-read and understand, and useful for judicial officers and third parties working on custody, decision-making, and school disputes. Her understanding of special needs including 504s and IEPs is second to none. Jennifer's reports are often integrated as part of domestic relations relocation cases or into third party custody reports for parental responsibilities allocations.

Jennifer earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Professional Learning from the University of Colorado Denver, where her research focused on measuring rural school quality and alternative accountability models. She also has a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Colorado State University, and a Bachelor’s from The University of Michigan. Jennifer is a qualified expert in multiple states.
