Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology

Dr. Jeffrey F. B. Chick is a nationally recognized physician–scientist and academic leader in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. He currently serves as Professor and Division Chief of Interventional Radiology and as Program Director of the Interventional Radiology Residency. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, followed by Interventional Radiology fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Chick has extensive experience reviewing complex medical cases involving imaging interpretation, image-guided procedures, procedural complications, and standards of care. His academic leadership roles, including Division Chief, Program Director, Director of Research, Director of Venous Interventions, and Vice Quality Assurance and Safety Officer, have provided substantial exposure to peer review, morbidity and mortality analysis, adverse event investigation, and institutional quality oversight. This background informs a careful, methodical, and evidence-based approach to medical–legal analysis.

Clinically, Dr. Chick is recognized for expertise in general interventional radiology, complex vascular, arterial, and venous disease, interventional oncology, high-risk procedures, and care of medically complex patients. He is frequently called upon to evaluate whether clinical decision-making, imaging interpretation, procedural execution, and post-procedural management were consistent with accepted medical practice at the time of care. He is known for providing clear, balanced, and defensible opinions grounded in contemporaneous literature, guidelines, and real-world clinical practice.

Dr. Chick has performed and supervised thousands of diagnostic and interventional procedures and has authored more than 260 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He has delivered over 200 national and international invited presentations and has served in advisory and consultative roles related to device development, procedural safety, and outcomes research.
