A: Dental practice standard of care - I have been retained as an expert in the areas of restorative dentistry (crowns, crown and bridge, prosthodontics), dental implants (surgical implant placement and implant restoration), oral surgery (third molar/wisdom teeth/extractions/bone grafting/sinus elevation), periodontics (gum and bone), endodontics (root canal), TMJ/TMD, cosmetic dentistry (veneers/laminates), nerve injury/nerve damage and dental infections. I have consulted on cases of misdiagnosis, treatment failure and treatment complications as well as cases of implant failure, crown and bridge failure, post-treatment numbness/sensory change/pain.

A: I review and analyze cases of dental malpractice, dental treatment failure and misdiagnosis as an expert for defense and plaintiff counsel. I work with attorneys representing plaintiff patients and with attorneys representing defendant dentists, dental schools and hospitals. My case evaluation is based upon record and document review (clinical examination/IME when indicated). I provide case analysis, recommendations for case strategy and I testify in deposition or at trial when required.
I also review liability cases (accident, trauma, slip and fall) to assess injuries and opine on causation and required treatment.
