Introduction


Dr. Jay A. Pandit is a board-certified cardiologist, physician executive, and clinical researcher with expertise in cardiovascular disease, digital health, and clinical trials. He currently serves as Director of Digital Medicine at the Scripps Research Translational Institute and maintains a clinical cardiology practice in San Diego.

Dr. Pandit earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Social Anthropology from Stanford University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at UCSF (2010–2013) and his fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (2013–2016). He later completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business LEAD Executive Program in 2021.

From 2016 to 2021, Dr. Pandit held multiple leadership roles at Northwestern Medicine, including Regional Clinical Trials Director at the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, Director of the Ambulatory Remote Monitoring Program, and Director of the Medical Telemetry Unit. During this time, he led the expansion of Northwestern’s clinical trials network from one hospital in one county to 10 hospitals serving eight counties and served as principal or co-investigator in more than 35 medical device and pharmaceutical clinical trials.

Dr. Pandit has served as Chief Medical Advisor for Bodyport, Clinical Advisor for Preciseli, and Advisory Board Member for Cardiosense. He is principal investigator for several ongoing studies including DETECT, DEXCOM EMPOWER, and the Oura Maternal Health Study. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, holds a U.S. patent for ambulatory blood pressure and vital sign monitoring technology, and is an active member of the ACC, AHA, IEEE, ESC, and DiME.
