Jason Yanofski, M.D., is a Johns Hopkins and Yale trained board-certified forensic psychiatrist with additional fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry. He provides forensic psychiatric consultation, independent evaluations, record review, written reports, deposition testimony, and trial testimony in civil and criminal matters.
Dr. Yanofski assists attorneys with cases involving competency, criminal responsibility, psychiatric damages, emotional distress, PTSD and trauma claims, malingering and symptom exaggeration, violence risk, suicide risk, psychiatric malpractice, standard of care, disability, fitness for duty, correctional psychiatry, inpatient psychiatric care, and child/adolescent psychiatric issues.
A particular focus of Dr. Yanofski’s work is helping attorneys understand psychiatric evidence in complex, high-conflict litigation. He is especially interested in cases involving modern technology, digital behavior, social media, AI-related mental health claims, online conduct, and the intersection between psychiatric symptoms and digital records.
