Dr. Jason Koob is a board-certified emergency physician and emergency medicine expert witness. In full-time community emergency department practice since 2014, he has worked across the complete range of emergency presentations. Before medicine, Dr. Koob worked as an analyst at Cornerstone Research, a litigation consulting firm, supporting expert witnesses and attorneys in complex litigation - so he came to expert work already understanding what the litigation process asks of an expert. He earned his MD at the University of Chicago and completed his emergency medicine residency at Northwestern. Dr. Koob provides independent case review and written opinions and accepts engagements from both plaintiff and defense counsel, with particular focus on missed and delayed diagnosis (MI, stroke, sepsis, aortic dissection, pulmonary embolism), EMTALA and transfer issues, airway management, and trauma care. He is licensed in California and reviews cases nationwide.
