Farzad Najam, MD, FACS is a board-certified cardiac and cardiothoracic surgeon with 25 years of operative experience and over tens of thousands procedures performed. He served as Director of Cardiac Surgery at The George Washington University Hospital, where the program achieved the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Quality Rating. He is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at George Washington University School of Medicine and remains board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery through 2033. Dr. Najam provides expert witness services in cardiac and cardiothoracic surgery matters for both plaintiff and defense, including standard of care analysis, causation opinions, surgical decision-making, and wrongful death cases involving CABG, valve surgery, TAVR, infective endocarditis, aortic aneurysm, ECMO, and post-operative complications. He is licensed in the District of Columbia, New York, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, Wisconsin, Montana, and Michigan, and is available for cases in all US jurisdictions.
