Dr. Farah Haroon is a board-certified periodontist with advanced expertise in periodontal surgery, implant dentistry, and comprehensive oral rehabilitation.

She earned her B.S. in Biology, summa cum laude, from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2014, where she received the Dean’s Scholarship.

From 2014 to 2016, Dr. Haroon completed a two-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, serving as Chief Resident during her PGY-2 year. Her residency provided extensive training in implant surgery, periodontal therapy, prosthodontics, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, and trauma management for medically complex patients.

She then joined the faculty at Temple University’s Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry (2016–2017), where she taught pre-doctoral students and Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residents, while also managing an off-site faculty practice focused on geriatric care.

From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Haroon practiced as an Associate General Dentist in Indiana, gaining broad experience in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and surgical care.

She completed her specialty residency in Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry at the Roudebush VA Medical Center and Indiana University (2019–2022). During this training, she performed advanced periodontal and implant procedures, including ridge preservation, ridge augmentation, sinus lifts, mucogingival surgery, and guided tissue regeneration. She also collaborated with interdisciplinary teams and provided on-call emergency dental care for VA patients. Her research on root surface roughness and bacterial adhesion was published in the Journal of Periodontology in 2022, and she presented her work at national meetings, earning the 2021 Research Forum Award from the Midwest Society of Periodontology.

Dr. Haroon currently practices as a Part-Time Associate Periodontist with Azar & Kepic Periodontics & Dental Implants in Upland, California, where she provides a full scope of periodontal and implant care, including scaling and root planing, osseous surgery, crown lengthening, guided tissue regeneration, and implant placement.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology.
