Dr. Ferrante is a distinguished clinician–scientist with over 100 publications, including two textbooks on pain management, membership on national and international committees on the study of pain, repeated election to The Best Doctors In America, and memberships on numerous editorial boards of academic journals. He is the President of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Ferrante’s areas of clinical interest include the diagnosis, work-up and management of all aspects of spinal medicine (particularly low back and neck pain, and “failed-back” surgery syndrome), general neuropathic pain, spasticity, thoracic outlet syndrome, cancer pain and other complex pain syndromes. He is expert in all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic injections, including all spinal procedures, sympathetic blockade, epidural injections, as well as cryoanalgesia, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, and implantation of drug delivery systems for pain and spasticity.
