Introduction

Dr. Elvin Kasimoglu is a neurologist with over two decades of experience in clinical neurology, occupational medicine, and medical-legal evaluations. She currently serves as a staff physician at the Occupational Health Center, where she evaluates and treats occupational injuries across multiple clinic sites. Since January 2022, she has also provided independent medical-legal evaluations and treatment for personal injury patients with neurologic symptoms on a lien basis.

From 2016 to March 2020, Dr. Kasimoglu practiced at HAAS Spine Surgery and Orthopedic Clinic and HAAS Wellness Center, where she evaluated patients with spinal injuries, assisted orthopedic surgeons in the operating room, and performed post-operative laser treatments and Botox injections. Prior to this, she maintained a private neurology practice in San Clemente, California, from 2002 to 2016, where she treated a wide range of neurologic conditions and provided comprehensive outpatient care.

In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Kasimoglu has extensive administrative and telehealth experience. She conducted virtual patient visits for Signify Health from November 2020 through 2023, focusing on evaluating health conditions and risk factors. From October 2020 to June 2022, she performed veteran disability evaluations for Veterans Evaluation Services, completing detailed Disability Benefits Claim forms for adjudication by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Since October 2022, she has worked with Medical Exam Specialists Medical Group in Tustin, California, conducting record reviews and producing reports for workers’ compensation disability claims.

Dr. Kasimoglu earned her B.S. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1992 and her M.D. from Meharry Medical College in 1998. She completed a transitional internship at Lehigh Valley Hospital in 1999, followed by a neurology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she led the general neurology service and consulted on stroke, seizure, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury cases.

She is licensed to practice medicine in California and holds an active DEA certificate. Dr. Kasimoglu is fluent in English, German, and Turkish, with basic proficiency in medical Spanish.
