Introduction

DJ Fenn, MPAS, PA-C, is a Mayo Clinic fellowship-trained Physician Assistant with more than 12 years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, Otolaryngology (ENT), Trauma Surgery, Orthopedics, and surgical care. He completed a competitive postgraduate fellowship in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona.

Mr. Fenn currently practices in high-acuity Emergency Medicine, serves in Advanced Practice Provider leadership, and actively practices as a surgical first assist in Plastic Surgery. His clinical background also includes Trauma Surgery, Hand Surgery, Orthopedics, Urgent Care, and perioperative care.

As an independent medical-legal consultant and expert witness, Mr. Fenn has been retained in numerous plaintiff and defense matters involving Physician Assistant standard of care and related medical issues. His expert experience includes comprehensive medical record review, affidavits and certificates of merit, written reports and opinions, case consultation, deposition testimony, and live courtroom testimony.

Mr. Fenn also serves as a Major and medical officer in the Air National Guard and has deployed in support of overseas operations, providing medical care in austere and high-pressure environments. His leadership experience includes clinical quality review, credentialing, and oversight and evaluation of advanced practice providers.

Mr. Fenn has approximately a decade of experience in PA and medical education, including adjunct faculty appointments and teaching in Otolaryngology and other clinical topics.

Mr. Fenn provides objective, evidence-based expert analysis for plaintiff and defense counsel, with particular expertise in Emergency Medicine, Otolaryngology/ENT, Physician Assistant standard of care, trauma and surgical care, and surgical first assisting.
