Dr. David Kamrava is a triple board-certified pulmonary and critical care specialist with extensive experience in intensive care medicine, pulmonary disease management, and complex inpatient care. Board-certified in Internal Medicine (2008–2028), Pulmonary Medicine (2012–2034), and Critical Care Medicine (2014–2025) he currently serves as ICU Medical Director at UCLA West Valley Medical Center (April 2024–Present) and previously held the same leadership role, where he developed the program, at West Hills Hospital from 2017 to 2024. Dr. Kamrava is President of Integrated Pulmonary & Intensivist Consultants, Inc. (2021–Present). This being the consultant company that is providing the care in the ICU at UCLA West Valley Medical Center and previously West Hills Hospital.
Dr. Kamrava earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2005. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at Valleywise Health, formerly Maricopa Integrated Health System, in Phoenix, Arizona (2005–2008), followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles (2010–2013). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cellular Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology from the University of California, Berkeley (2000).
His clinical career includes extensive roles in pulmonary and critical care across multiple California hospitals, including UCLA West Valley Medical Center (2024-Present), West Hills Hospital (2014-2024), Providence Tarzana Medical Center (2015–2021; 2021–Present), Topanga Terrace Subacute Facility (2021–Present), Northridge Hospital Medical Center (2013–2016), Valley Presbyterian Hospital (2013–2016), and Mission Community Hospital (2013–2015). Earlier in his career, he worked as a Sound Inpatient Hospitalist at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, Sutter Amador Hospital, and Community Memorial Hospital between 2008 and 2010. Later and most recently in his career, he serves as Medical Director and Laboratory Director at Neurorestorative Rehabilitation Center/Sevita Rehabilitation Center, supervising non-waived testing and overseeing multidisciplinary patient care, acting as a pulmonary director at Topanga Terrace Subacute Facility and serving as Chief of Medicine at UCLA West Valley Medical Center (2025–Present).
